Terms of Service

Last updated: 18 August 2026

These terms are between you and Care4SA. By creating an account you agree to them and to the Privacy Policy.

The service

Care4SA is a marketplace. Homes post work and browse listings. Workers offer their services. We are not the employer of listed workers, we do not guarantee a hire, and we do not guarantee anyone’s safety. Trust badges mean only what the Trust System says. A reviewed ID or SAPS file is not a live criminal check and not a check we obtained from SAPS.

Accounts

  • Give accurate information. Keep your password private.
  • You must be 18 or older to use Care4SA.
  • Do not use the service for fraud, harassment, or unlawful work.
  • We may suspend accounts that break these terms or put others at risk.

Listings, jobs, and children

Do not publish a child’s full name, school, ID number, or photograph. Describe ages in general terms if needed. Do not upload another person’s identity document.

Documents

If you upload an ID, SAPS clearance, or proof of address, you confirm it is yours (or you have a lawful right to submit it). After we review it we delete the original file and keep only the badge facts. See the Privacy Policy.

Fees

Listing a profile, applying for jobs, and browsing are free for workers. Households may browse and post jobs for free. During the Cape Town launch, in-app messaging is also free for households. We may later introduce a household subscription or conversation credits in ZAR via Paystack or Instant EFT (Ozow). Fees will be posted on the pricing page with notice.

Content licence

You keep rights in content you post. You grant Care4SA a licence to host and display it to operate the service. We may remove content that breaks these terms.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by South African law, Care4SA is not liable for disputes between users, employment outcomes, or third-party acts. Use the Safety Centre and your own judgement. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under the Consumer Protection Act or other mandatory law.

Deletion

You may delete your account from the dashboard. Open legal claims, tax records, or a live safety investigation may limit what we can erase immediately. See Your data & deletion.
