Guide on how to use PAIA

The Information Regulator publishes a guide on how to use PAIA. Ask the Regulator or visit their website for the current guide and forms (including Form 2 for a request to a private body).

Records we hold

Categories include:

  • User accounts and caregiver / household profiles
  • Job posts, applications, messages, and reviews
  • Trust-review timestamps (not original ID files after review)
  • Payment references and limited finance retention records
  • Administration records of the responsible party

Records available without a PAIA request: this website, the Privacy Policy, Terms, Cookie Policy, Trust System, and Safety Centre.

How to request a record

  • Email privacy@care4sa.com with enough detail to identify the record and your identity.
  • Use the Regulator’s PAIA request form for private bodies when required.
  • We may ask for proof of identity. We may charge the prescribed PAIA fees.
  • We aim to decide within 30 days, or as PAIA allows for extensions.

Grounds of refusal

We may refuse a request on PAIA grounds, including protection of another person’s privacy, safety, confidential commercial information, or privileged records. Access to someone else’s identity document or messages will ordinarily be refused.
